So this is my first Blog post....ever! I have no idea what to say or do so I thought well let's ramble and for being good and reading it I'll add an offer!
So who what where?!
My name is Jan. I suppose you could probably guess that! I work from my front room. I have over 200 gel golours, foils and glitters. Not altogether, each! I may have an addiction to nail stuff!
Why nails? Well I have spent over 30 years in the legal industry doing various roles which culminated in being an IT Trainer. However I was never quite satisfied. I loved having my nails done and I love art. I am also an artist. So I thought, why not?
I completed my training. Handed my notice in and left my job...wham...covid hit. I've always had impeccable timing! So I spent the lockdown time doing more courses to expand my knowledge. From the Nail Knowledge course (which makes your brain hurt with the amount of science) through to Barbercide (all about hygiene for covid) to nail art.
I had to think, what would make me different? Why would you want to come to me?
Well I only do a maximum of 3 people a day. So no queuing up, no being rushed out the door and most importantly less chance of exposure to covid. You aren't in a salon with umpteen other people, breathing and stuff! I do a thorough clean between clients as well. Of course I wear all the appropriate PPE.
Not doing a large number of clients back to back means you can decide you want some nail art on the day. So you may have only booked for an Express Gel but can change your mind on arrival. So don't worry if it feels like you have a long appointment time. That's because I want you to have the best experience.
I do Sunday's too. Only one appointment available on that day but I know what it's like when you are busy and wanted to offer that option.
I'm happy to chat through your appointment or I can manage quiet if you like to sit quietly, well most of the time! I have 3, 9 month old siberian cross kittens. They are usually happy to be idolised if you feel you wish to!
So maybe this will do for today. I dont want to bore you!
